Thread: Help with a Diags Tool | Codes (if possible)

Hi Guys/Gals,

New member.

I have just somewhat inherited a 2000 Disco 2 Petrol. I am not sure if I am going to keep the car yet but I am enjoying driving it after having sedans all of my life. It has a few things that need fixing but perhaps the one that's bothering me the most is what I now know it's called the 3 Amigos (fitting as I lived in South America for a good part of my life) - I have read a few posts and have a list of things to check starting with the basics. That said, it sounds lile I could benefit from pluggin-in a diags tool (such as a Nanocom or similar) and get the codes + it may show other things I am not aware of as yet. I live in Cammeray, NSW and was wondering if anyone with a tool nearby would be willing to give me had to get the codes. I will make a donation to this site + a six pack of your choice of beer . I also need the re-sync the odometer with the ECU as it keeps flashin - I appreciate that you have paid good money for these tools and I would likely invest in one if I was sure that the Landy was my car of choice but I am still undecided and the missus is not so sure about driving what she now calls the truck.

If you look at the top of this section (Electronic Diagnostic Systems) there is a thread that lists members with diagnostic tools that are prepared to assist other members. If you can find one in your area you could private message them to see if they can help.
