You're selecting Kernel mode on the nanocom? You've confirmed the USB port is working ok with your virtual Win10?

Like many, I have a Nanocom Evolution.

Can't honestly say I paid full price for mine though ;-)

As a primarily Diagnostic tool, I used to keep it in my 2010 sports drivers door pocket and only use it if and when required, and it gave me great comfort to know I could call on it if something happened at either the wrong place or time which as everyone appreciates is when things happen.

I could use My nanocom as an additional instrument using it's instrument mode, but as a CAN bus vehicle it has not previously been possible to set the nanocom up such that it Auto Starts in Instrument mode for CAN Bus vehicles. Nor log the Data to an SD card. So having added the ability to log the data so I could later analyse it using this new CSV viewer software application was a great leap forward, however it still required a lot of faffing about that IMHO made it too much effort for the benefit.

I set my chaps the challenge of making it so that not only could you set the Nanocom Instrument mode to auto start on Can Bus models as it is with other models, but also impliment an Auto Recording to SD card option.

I am currently testing these new features in my own Land Rover and I am pretty stunned as to the results, not so much technically but in un expected aspects.

I find my nanocom is no longer Primarily a Diagnostic tool I keep in some storage place only to be deployed as and when required, but now much more a valued accesory in the form of not only it's additional instrument mode, but as an automated Flight Recorder, capturing data on every trip that I could drop into the new CSV viewer or if you appreciate the Pun, a true "Black Box" that could also do Diagnostics.

That I now keep my nanocom next to the dash on its screen mount and use it on every trip, has even caused me to look at improving the screen mount. I found mine rattles and this is very annoying

Although I am the owner of BBS, producer of the Nanocom, and therefore assumed to be naturally biased, however I should point out that the new CSV viewer and associated upgrades I am testing are freely provided.

We just want to provide the best product we can.

Thanks Colin for your improvement, continued support and seemingly unending development and free upgrades of these amazing units.

Unfortunately, due to recent trips and urgent 'to do's' , I haven't yet had the opportunity to record data and try what, at a quick glance of your posts in this thread, appears to be some very useful (and free) analysis software.

    Thanks again Colin.
