    Fitting a Nanocom

Does anyone know the dimensions of a nanocom? I would like to fit mine on a permanent or semi permanent basis, but I don't want to use a screen mount or similar. Too much temptation in my opinion. So I was thinking of places to put it. As the Nanocom will very likely be here before my car gets back I was wondering what others have done.

Not a very clear question. Thing is, I have a pod of sorts and I'm wondering if it will fit in that or should I look for something else.so some dimensions would be handy so I can get something together for when it all comes together.

bugger, prepared a post and then lost it somewhere in the system so this is version 2.
I have a BBS alloy backing plate and my Evo is permanently fitted to the car via the RHS ash/coin tray and a right angled bracket. You can also easily make your own to slide in from the right in my case.
Since taking the pic, I have also changed the cable to a right angled version exiting the Evo and straight down to the OBDII port, rather than wrapping the original cable around the steering column.
With this location, Evo is out of the sunlight and easy to read in instrument mode at a glance.

Great, that's sort of what I had in mind. Didn't want to use the pod, cos I have other things in mind for that.

BTW, where'd you get the cup holders?

Pretty sure cupholders were ex US (bought over 4 years ago) as now not so easy to find in AUS, although maybe Mario/Heather may have or be able to source?

They have beige and grey listed at the moment for UK Pounds 45, but sure others will have them as well.

Not a bad setup you've got there. The portable UHF works well. How'd you power that? Mine are 9V input, both the Unidens and the Oricoms.

Yep, they still have them. Bit steep, but probably cheaper than fixing the stupid OE one! And your drink won't spill into the AC control.

Did I say 'free shipping'? $70 ain't free. Oh well. Things wind up costing $100 each. Car's an auto, who needs two hands....?
