    Nanocom abilities

    Hi all,
does anyone here know the capability of a nanocom on a fl2?
Have got them for other vehicles , but at$300 for an unlock was wondering what you actually get, specifically I would like too disable the door auto speed lock and the self folding mirrors, is this possible with the nanocom? Maybe even through the genesis site?

    Cheers James

There is I think a simulation for the CANBUS vehicles on the Nanocom. You could go to the web site have a look and ask. There is a simulator there.

$300 for the unlock code and how much for the cable?

    I had a look and I couldn't see it.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

    $313 I think,
I already have a couple nanocom units with different cables so I don't need to do anything there, it's just that everyone seems to be going IID Bluetooth these days, I'd prefer stay nanocom if it's of similar capability

Shack, how did you go with this? Also have a Nanocom and wondering if it is worth it.

    From memory I did nothing!

I cannot believe that was 2 yrs ago.

The car is my mother's and has been essentially bulletproof, I think we had some adaptive headlight failure and were able to reset with a generic obd2 code reader, we haven't worried about trying to change any factory settings.....again...from memory that is!

As long as you already have a BBS canbus cable for your Nanocom then I would go for it without hesitation.

A new cable will however cost around $80, so the cost with the unlock code would then be around $400 + postage + GST.

I think the cost of another decent diagnostic tool will be quite a bit more than that as well.

As far as I'm concerned the Nanocom does everything I've ever needed it to.

    Cheers,

    Nick
