IIDtool wont pick up engine ecu
Havent used my bt gap tool for some time . yesterday I thought I'd blown a turbo hose so plugged the tool in to pick up some live values (map) but the only values i vould access were climate and suspension. I thought i must have been in the wrong section but then the penny dropped. When I read faults I always get a glow plug relay fault and something about egr pressure. But not this time. I disconnected the battery end bridged the terminals but still no joy . Do I have a tool fault or ucu/wiring fault.

What vehicle?
I have a 2006 L322 and I believe I have the same issue. Haven’t done anything about it because everything is working still. My first thought was diagnostic tool bug, or wiring to the diagnostic socket.
Have you had any mods or work done that would involve wiring?
