    What part is this plug?

Been having some starting issues with my td5 110, the glow plug light hasn’t been coming up on my dash and my engine won’t turn over. We traced some leads from my glow plugs to see if there was an issue anywhere and we found this frayed and badly soldered wire leading into a plug. We fiddled with it for a bit and tried to stick it all back together and now my glow plugs are working as usual. Could this part be the issue? I can’t seem to find what part it is so I can order a replacement.
Its an intermittent issue that’s gradually gotten worse. Previously It was cutting out while idling and sometimes driving then would take a few goes to start it back up.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

To me I'd say that looks like the air con compressor clutch power. Easy way to check is have your engine running with the A/C on and unplug it and plug it back in and see if you can hear the clutch kick in.

Yes, that's the aircon compressor clutch plug but what ever happens on that circuit would affect only the aircon, in case of a short circuit on those wires fuse F6(engine bay) should blow that's all

I thought so. There’s another plug that’s getting a fair bit of oil on it. Yesterday arvo we pulled it out gave it a clean and stuck it back in and the car started to run fine. Started it this morning and it kept cutting out while idling again, checked the plug and there’s more oil on it. I have no idea what this plug is either but suspected it could be a problem? It’s located down here in the photo (this photo is off google)

More simple, buy a GENUINE LR injector loom and replace it ASAP then keep cleaning the red plug once a week untill all the residual oil leaves the harness

I'd be having a good look at the relays under the driver's seat, poor contacts on these can cause all the problems you listed,
I.e glow plugs, starter motor, fuel pump etc.....I'd be checking these first on a defender, they are a known issue, especially if you like wading.
