Yes I did that. Three times if I remember right:
1-click on BBS and enter a file name
2-click on the other folder and enter a name
3-enter a name in the empty box

Did you name with spaces. Nanocom doesn't like this.
if you want to leave spaces, use underscore instead.
Maximum 8 characters too, and some not allowed .. so keep naming simple.
I don't think it's the card this time, but it still may be.
Something else to give a shot(to be sure nanocom works with the card):
Get either a file of any fault codes(if present) save the text file type thing.
Does this at least write to the SD card.
If you don't have any faults logged, the next easiest thing to try(to write to card) would be a quick data capture in instruments mode.
Go to instruments mode for TD5, you see a floppy icon, hit that and save a name for the file, it will then log some sensor data stop it and it should save the file.
FWIW: I know the 16Gb Sandisk SDHC card works fine in my nanocom, and I tried to write the map file (again) to the SD card. I already have one saved, haven't deleted it for some reason which I should as it's already saved on the PC.
But I tried to save the map file again and used spaces in the name, and nanocom gave me the error that it didnt' save the file. It could be better implemented in that it didn't go directly to the option to try a better name type, just went back to the read map file section. Didn't have time to try again, so abandoned the process.
If you can get to a WinPC again, I think a firmware update may be something to think about too.
Most things you shouldn't need a PC for mucking about with the nanocom, but firmware update definitely does!
And as someone said, could be a handy device to think about getting .. a cheapie portable PC laptop or tablet or something like that.
So I did what Arthus suggested and hit the 'floppy' icon in board instrument mode. And yes it works. Did it two times. Coming home I now have 2 CSV files at the top of the directory.
I think that proves the 2GB SD card works with the Nanocom.
Still, I am no closer to successfully saving my MAP. I think I will again read through instructions, although I believe I am following them to the point...

Well at the least the card is working .. step one done!
Nanocom is great thing to have, but some can be a bit flaky.
The one I have is sometimes .. randomly. Sometimes doesn't connect, sometimes does.
For example, instrument mode should be straight forward, but it gives the error message that communication with the ECU has stopped .. or something like that.
I had a thought that maybe the SD card may have been switched to write protected mode, but if you got the data log in instrument mode saved to the card, then this can't be the problem.
Try formatting the card again?
