    Question EvaKool 12v socket type?

    He everyone.

I have a mate with an Evakool fridge, the 12V socket only has one pin, I'm guessing the other got jammed and ripped out at some point.
Id like to find a replacement socket and solder it in myself. Any knowledgeable electronic buffs have any idea what kind of socket this is specifically?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Thats what i thought. But i cant for the life of me find any. In the past, finding such things was impossible, but became effortless once i had the proper technical name.

Ive been in and couldnt find one. Ive searched the internet for hours. No luck.

I would try EvaKool as a first step.
Otherwise just solder on a flush mount Merit/Hella socket and buy a matching Hella plug all from Jaycar.

Maybe feed the wires through the destroyed socket and hook it up via an anderson plug on both the fridge and the power lead.
also tell your mate not to be so bloody rough on his gear
A cheap and easy solution for a cheap fridge

Oh his dad has been told, heh.
But is a $1500 fridge really a cheap fridge?

I guess the cheapest option would be to just rip the socket out and wire some 20amp lead directly and permenantly. No plug needed really.
