The Specsaver thing cuts both ways. If I went to Specsavers, my wife would look even less like a supermodel than she does now.

It's not surprising: what with a boiling point some 56 Celsius degrees below that of nitrogen, if you don't "use it you lose it"... so as soon as you fill the tank it begins to boil off ... and since there is no such thing as a perfect insulator, it boils off and the safety valves operate to keep the pressure within the safety margins... good luck with that!! then there's the problem of hydrogen embrittlement of the metals used to construct the storage tanks.... Good luck with that Twiggy!! ...
You can't burn hydrogen in an ICE. If you don't liquidify it there is barely enough room for a driver, and if you do as you've mentioned it boils off all on it's own. Stupid

And if you do fuel cell by the time you've done all those phase changes and had all the losses along the way, unless you're greating the hydrogen with 100% renewables you're going to be worse off than just burning dino fuel.

These discussions are so funny with people that know nothing about the science.

I literally design these things for a living. The ignorance within this thread is embarrassing.

Well I've missed my bet then, when I heard Ineos were going to make a hip, urban model, I thought it was going to be a SWB Grenadier tarted up like a Khan 90.

Registering is the easy part...getting the Mrs to pay for it is the difficult bit. Besides I would feel guilty heading away on that trip as I know the Mrs would miss me....
