    Mercedes 1997 C200 key

My brother has a small emergency, his car battery has gone flat and he cant open the car, he lost the flip out key and his spare fob with key is where else but in his glove box .
Does anyone know a way to get into the car without breaking a window or getting to the battery to charge it ?
He is unemployed so money is an issue.

Dunno how much luck he'd have getting past the door rubbers but I'd make a long fence wire hook to pull the opposite side front door inner handle. My mate with a 300TE fortunately had a broken mirror for a hole to get a long hook into after he lost his keys.

Anyway, getting power to the vehicle may be as simple as getting to the starter motor, should be accessible with a trolley jack and axle stand. The starter should be low down on the LHS side of the engine, or the alternator low down on the front RH side of the engine, accessible after removing the engine bay lower shield.

i found a post on an mb forum suggesting the starter motor so i'll give that a go, and whack him over the head for having his spare key and fob in the car.

Wasnt too hard, jacked it up and could reach the starter without removing any plastic. Unlocked as soon as it was energised, battery on charge overnight so should be good for tomorrow.
Told him to keep an eye on it in case the battery is on its way out.
