Have you ever watched her drive on Top Gear and 5th Gear - on all types of surfaces and all types of cars - she would put us all to shame - she knows how to drive offroad.

Agree re weight Bob. On the beach seeing all the big 4wds struggling while my lighter recycled tank ( Lada) chugged away though the soft stuff used to put a smile on my face. Until I got stuck and suzuki jimny floated above the sand past me[biggrin]
The history was interesting thanks
Mate of mine had a Suzuki ute up in Darwin,I'm sure it had a tiny engine,[ 2 cylinders? ] floating over sand and mud is an apt description. The German vehicle had a flat bottom, reminds me of the stories about VW combie vans up the Cape going places larger heavier vehicles could not. It should be noted that the tyres on those German vehicles looked like normal road tyres.
