VW Tiguan Questions

Best of wishes with the DSG!! Relative has one and has proven to be a problematic car...son has DSG in a GTI and is waiting for the g box to implode. These cars love to use oil too..esp tge GTI which VW say is normal😃

VW are lying cheating scammers in my view with the worst customer service so why support them?

Have had 3 vw's in the past, transporter, amarok, and a passat, all have been flawless, and vw service have been fantastic. Would i buy another, yes, over most brands.

FWIW, I found an excellent indy when I had my Audi TT a couple of years ago.
He knew the Golf/Audi haldex and everything else backwards.
Might be worth a call?

Hello from Brisbane.

I regret to have to say that this post parallels my experience with our Golf TSI. From delivery new it had clutch and gearbox issues and with less than 100k on the clock is into it’s third timing chain and (supposedly) second clutch pack. Had to argue the point with VW time and again including direct correspondence with the Managing Director of VWA.

Picked it up from one rectification only to find that the engine was still sick and looking in the rear view mirror noticed that the roof lining had collapsed - not even mentioned by the dealer when handed the keys. Advised also that it needs a valve replacement and the clutch pack needed replacing again....

Don’t mention the fuel gauge that hasn’t worked reliably for over a year.

Never again.

Fortunately have the pre-DSG 6 speed which is really nice.

I have no previous VW experience but have survived owning a LR for 10 years!

Just wanted a nice safe SUV for the daughter choosing from CRV or Forrester types.

A leap of faith and time will tell.

It’s in perfect cosmetic condition and drives very well.

Very very keen to do a service on the ‘sealed for life’ gearbox and Haldex unit. Suspect this will be their first.

Will go down the DIY route from now on.

Seems every roof lining fails.

Time will tell..........
