    Australia's 'oldest truck'

Is this the correct place to post? I cannot find a "truck thread", so Mods please move if not the correct place.

Australia'''s '''oldest truck''' rises from ghost town grave to become outback museum'''s prize exhibit - ABC News

What may be Australia's oldest truck — and original outback road train — has been rescued from a rusty ghost-town grave and restored to a shiny new role as prize exhibit at a fascinating road transport museum in South Australia's mid north.

The 1908 Daimler Renard has survived a lightning strike and years abandoned in the middle of nowhere to become the centrepiece of a tribute to the historic machines that "opened up rural communities".

(The photo inside the museum appears to show a "Knocker Commer" engine on display)

The trailer appears to have a set of powered wheels. Cannot see a drawbar so maybe the dive shaft is also the drawbar! Rubery Owens eat your heart out!

The drive shaft appears to be at the same line as the bottom of the roller door behind.

    Don.
Yes, I think that you are right. Blow the picture up a bit and it becomes more clear. Cheers.
