The aircraft at The Oaks is an HS.125 and was last operated by Qantas as a navigational and flight proficiency trainer. It was trucked in, in the mid 80's and is there to stay. Next to it is, or was about 15 years ago, a single seat ex-RAAF Vampire (Fb.9?). Anyway, the Vampire has it's nose snapped off and is lying nearby, but the Goblin engine is there to inspect....
Drop in for a look the next time you're down there, I think it's an open field for ultralights...
