When one zooms out, one can see what appears to be a derelict runway just south east of the plane.
Not in a backyard but I saw this (what appears to be) derelict jet at a community airport at The Oaks, southwest of Sydney. I saw it as I rode past so had to look it up on NearMap. I know what sort of aircraft it is but I just can't think of it - possibly a Hawker Siddeley HS125. I should ride in and have a look. It looked like it was in old DCA colours.

Wait. I just did a search for DCA HS125 and found this:

I knew a guy with a Tiger Moth in his garage in Brisbane.
He had lost his licence for flying under the Storey Bridge and had removed the wings and it just fitted in the garage I assume until his suspension expired . It was airworthy and had been restrutted etc.
This was 40 years ago.

Young people of today probably have no idea why there is a poor facsimile of a plane doing the same thing at Minchinbury at the new(ish) housing estate.
Many years ago, when it was the Penfolds Minchinbury Estate winery, it was a real Avon Sabre at that location and there was a sign which read "Don't Crash, Drink Penfolds".
Reminder of the winery remain. On Gt. Western Highway. It is a replica of a Sabre Jet Fighter, erected by the winery in 1955 at the entrance to the estate. It's image was used to market the winery with the following slogan: "Don't Crash, Drink Penfolds". The original plane was destroyed in a wind storm and replaced by a replica, which was destroyed by vandals. The current plane, made of plywood and tin, is a replica of the replica.

Only live a few K's from that DC3 and did not know it was there.
I have parts of an aeroplane taking shape in my garage...
Cheers

I have a mate who has a Hawker Hart under restoration but not in his backyard, at one of his hangars at a regional airport in Qld. In the past he had a civil reg. P40 and a P51.
