Yes, I know but we can't keep searching forever.
Gotta agree, time to use the resources elsewhere. Happy that Australia reacted at the beginning but it's dragging on now.
WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!
Fugro Discovery was already under contract Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) to map parts of the indian ocean.
in june this contact was modified to the areas suspected for location of MH370.
the suspected areas where graded between 1-5, 1 being areas the Fugro was already contracted to survey.
2 other Fugro ships were added to the contact.
why was the original contact required, well the Indian ocean has become more important, an estimated 65% of oil reserves are there. major shipping now. the rise of china and its energy needs also add to a international power shift towards the area. and our Asian neighbours.
It constantly amazes me to the Nativity of the average Australian to international affairs, the short sightedness, or the opposite infatuation with silly conspiracy thearoys.
from an economical, political security view. " blunt words" MH370 is really an excuse to do what we needed to do before someone else did. and now its happening faster with more money being spent because of the ( in the main) public support.
