Well, another fun day - just got home. A few planes out and about today practicing, and it looks like a C17 snuck in when I wasn't watching as there's now one parked up in the keyhole. :)

My work roster just changed and I can't make it.. which makes 3 times in a row now.
Something large and propeller powered flew loudly over my house just after midnight last night.
Something on it's way to the show I guess.
I can't wait to see what it may have been.
Well, the trade days are on and it's a good time to look around and chat to people before the crowds arrive on Friday and the weekend.
A few teasers...
Made a bee line straight to my favourite aircraft - the C17. Still amazes me how big these things are inside. Enough to fit 3 x Blackhawks, or 6 armoured personnel carriers, or an Abrams tank - and support vehicles and crew.

Plenty to see and do. Hope to see you there. :)
See what you can collect for the 101. Any SAMs about?

When did the B52 fly?
I think it only flew the Friday. And it was a fly down from Guam, did two fly overs, and fly back the Guam. The one on the ground didn't fly during the airshow.
I would have loved to watch it go Monday morning, but had other commitments. I watched it fly in and land before the 2013 airshow, was amazing to see.
There's a post on jetspotters saying its the last time a B52 will fly at an airshow in the world, I find that hard to believe, but apparently due to age they are just getting to costly to keep in the air for non essential activity.
Yep, a fly ovr on Friday arvo by the B-52. The display one left on Monday morning - I'm guessing the EPS can't touch these machines, because it is one dirty beast under decent throttle...:D
Only caught up with Mick while on site - no one else called me...:(
I made it down there for the Friday, a solid 12 hours and then 1.5 hours trying to get out of the car park. Well worth the visit, the B52 was awesome. And the F18 Dogfight.
Saturday i was buggered after all and the travelling that so had a day off.
