Tail draggers, the best fun you can have with your pants on, assuming you do not soil them
I was tempted into a 90hp Piper Cub and it went from there and I ended up in a C180 (ZK JFG) which was a delight to fly, but always aware it could swap ends with little warning.
I also got checked out on a Citabria at the Latrobe Aero Club many years ago and took my father for a scenic. He was a Halifax pilot and POW during the war and ATC after.
At the tender age of five I had the total run of Launceston airport as we lived there. I have just clocked up 50 years in aircraft engineering and still active on a casual basis. In fact just on my way to Cairns to do a couple of small jobs for the week.
