An amazing fellow. Thanks for the link.
The Blackbird was truly an amazing feat of ingenuity and engineering.

The SR-71 is a good example of what can be achieved given virtually unlimited fund and no bureaucratic scrutiny, by a team that is determined to achieve what is deemed impossible. And remember, that aircraft first flew nearly fifty years ago!

Ben Rich's book 'Skunk Works' has the full story from the designers point of view. Excellent read.

Ummm, hypothetically, how nicely would one have to ask?

Thanks for the link. Thoroughly enjoyable, and it's not often I watch completely through an hour of anything.
