Pilot killed in helo crash in S.A.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

My eldest grandson is working at the new Carrapatena Mine & went back to work today after his Fi-Fo time was up.

I know he would be very upset.

Hit a Power pole apparently. I guess it only takes one blade to just brush & you are a goner?

Maybe, but shirley if it was that bad should the poor guy have been flying cables at all? Recipe for disaster I reckon.

    I know I know, " & don't call me shirley"

The weather has been pretty good in the area the past few days (I’ve been over Woomera a few times. The only cloud was a but of altostratus.
Would imagine if there was weather he could just land...
    Sad news...

Depending on how it was rigged to lay either a cable or a messenger line, this type of operation has either very little, OR zero margin for error. RIP.

A bit confusing exactly what he was doing. One report says laying cables, and the following says live maintenance. Either way, as I posted previously, absolutely no room for the slightest error. Did some early development work on power lines back in the 1980's and had no wish to do any more.
