Almost as impressive as flying a Lancaster under the Harbour Bridge....

The best I’ve done is inverted under the Harbour Bridge at 240kt in the DHC-8 simulator. Not even close to these blokes
Didn't someone fly under a number of Brisbane bridges about fifty years ago? From memory it was in an aircraft stolen from Archerfield, and he was initially held on a charge of stealing "a motor vehicle, to wit an aeroplane" after landing in a suburban football field, as the police could not think of what else to hold him on initially. I can't remember anything else about it, including the aircraft type (some sort of SE trainer I think), but that snippet has stuck in my mind.
Also relevant to the discussion I seem to remember an account in an autobiography (Olaf Ruhen?) of Lancasters training in Canada returning to base with the radiators stuffed with wheat, and also a practice of flying them between silos spaced closer together than the wingspan. They were supposed to be training for low level flying, but not that low.

Bloody hell that would take some skill!
Imagine unloading one's grain when a tilted Lanc went past one's head went past with the wingtip nearly taking your head off as one stood on the back of the dray?
Maybe it is just my vivid imagination?
Found another one. No idea what the story is, or what it's about, but what's not to like about Spitfire's! For some reason , when I watch film like this, I feel like a little boy again. Perhaps
I've never grown up. And may it always be so.

It’s from a TV mini series called ‘Piece of Cake’ based on a book by Derek Robinson. In the book they flew Hurricanes but I suppose they would have been hard to come by for the TV show. Ray Hanna did the actual flying. Lovely bit of work from an ex-aerobatic pilot!

Bob, my grandfather used to say, "if you haven't grown up by age 60", then you don't have to! It used to drive my grandmother nuts as they were well into their 70's and he was still a kid at heart. When visiting extended family in the USA, my aunty there said that luckily all the men in my extended family (my grandfather had 5 brothers and a sister) are all the same. So I'm looking forward to aging disgracefully!
