    Rule #1: They're fuel tanks, not air tanks. Sounds like fuel starvation.

    Cessna twins can have a complex fuel system, in that if you don't know what you're doing, you can end up dumping fuel overboard... and run out. Although based on the brevity of this flight, it sounds like he had very little fuel to start with.

    He's lucky. Because there was no skill involved in this prang.

    It's interesting, as it seems he is the owner of the aircraft and was familiar with it. Juan explained the complexity of the fuel system briefly, and it sounds like the "C" variant would be the one to have....

    No skill involved is right. He probably didn't have time. Early days, but it does seem like pilot error contributed.
