Sikorsky to link next gen. helicopters to fighter jets including the F- 35

It's part of the company's emphasis on networking all the weapons it builds, in line with Pentagon initiatives.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

A good friend of my best mate was in on the ground floor of developing networks between different platforms. He said the hard part will be making the system robust enough to keep it working during a Tier 1 conflict where jamming is rife and satellites will be targeted. Let’s hope we never have to find out!

Maybe lasers ? The newest StarLink satellites are networked by laser, and they move pretty fast, 110 seconds horizon to horizon

I think there is a bunch of different tech coming down the line that tries to get datalinks workable in a wartime environment (drones, aircraft, blimps, lasers, etc) since satellites will be targeted for sure - either signals manipulated or worse case satellites outright destroyed = space junk nightmare! In a similar vein (streamlining datalinks for a weapons platform to be viable/survivable in wartime), I saw this the other day.

I have enough trouble with connecting different industry standard software packages and API so they all work together on a platform. (We will leave out of this people who keep changing the platform to do every week) They stop playing or refuse to play often enough without someone trying to make them stop playing
