    New motor

    Putting a second hand motor in my freelander v6 . Snapped timing belt.

    wow,,
    was the Belt overdue for replacement?

    My D2 belt had bits of the V's missing everywhere when I replaced it,,
    "How long since you've visited The Good Oil?"

    '93 V8 Rossi
    '97 to '07. sold.
    '01 V8 D2
    '06 to 10. written off.

    It does , Pedro is confusing timing belt with serpentine belt.

    That's the confusing part. Manuel says 70,000 miles so 110 k should be belt mine had only done 75k I believe the car had low K's because it sat for a while.if the tension bearing dries out all will go wrong and the belts apparently deteriate after 5 years.
