Saw the MSG again today after washing the car on the driveway..methinks for my car it does not like very short drive..8) ..have not seen the message during day to day driving ..
Back to square one again....message reappeared today. Guess we will have to see if Land Rover come up with a solution at some stage. I'm forgetting about it now.
Hi, It looks like it is something that is meant to happen, I am so glad to have this forum, as I was originally told by another land rover dealer, that if the message was right and there was water, they would have to drop the fuel tank, drain it, change filters everything, and the cost would be mine, due to bad fuel. est 2k. Can you imagine doing all that, just to see message reappear, so glad I picked this fault and did not go ahead with what they were suggesting, I only hope other people have not gone down that road, before reading this forum.
I had a PD last week that did the exact same thing. It eventually went out.
Hi new to Land Rover is a PD a Discovery model, and do you mean in time this warning will cease to come on, or did the car die.
Regards
PD - Pre delivery inspection. Before the vehicle gets sold or put out on the dealer yard we go over the vehicles as check and make sure everything mechanically is sound. Check all fluids, lubricants, complete check over, software and recalls - carry out, fill with fuel and test drive :)
After I did the inspection the water warning came on. The car had less than 5L of diesel in it at the time too. It stayed on for five minutes and it went out and the light never came on again.
I even drained the filter but the light didnt go out.
I'm sure LR will eventually release something in regards to it...
