    TD4 Timing belt

I changed the timing belt and water pump on my 2007 TD4 today. It was not due but I was not waiting until 240k to do.

They are a very easy belt to do, but service tools are required. The engine mount is not required to be removed to replace. The hardest job was removing the starter motor.

Have you got any pics? A step by step instruction? How long did it take you to do? One of my customers has one which is up over 200 000km now, so the belt is nearly due.

No sorry didn't take any pics. Should of. I have instructions in the timing tool kit I purchased where to put the timing pins as the one under the starter motor is a bit of a bugger to find. Its starter motor out and then plastic cover under the starter motor out. Would you like me to post a copy?

Took about 3 hrs but that was changing tensioner, idler and water pump, and me taking my time with the 1st one I had done. 2hrs would be achievable easily.
