Hissing/blow off sound when accelerating
Hi,
I am experiencing a hissing or pressure release sound (similar to a blow off valve) on my 2008 FL2 diesel when accelerating. It does not seem to do it when i plant the foot, but more so when driving normal or gently.
Any idea what this could be and whether this is normal? It is quite loud and noticeable, as if there is a release when the pressure builds up.
I have replaced the turbo hoses, hoping this will solve it, but no luck.
Wondering if anybody else is experiencing this and what it could be.
Thanks

Trying my luck given date of original post. Did you find out what the issue was? Experiencing the same in my 2010.

Have you been eating green cabbage and beans?

Thankfully it wasn't my intake of cabbage and beans
As it turned out, for anyone interested, the turbo was knackered and needed an overhaul.
Blow off noise is pressure build up blow off to prevent further damage.

I've found a soft patch in an air hose, which is oozing something sticky, so I assume this is the cause. It will be replaced, so we'll see if that fixes it.
