General grabber ATR 18 inch rims

Thought I might give some feedback on the GG AT3's I have on my FL2.

I have the 18 inch rims, so these were the only AT's that would fit (that I could find).

I drove the family from Melbourne to Darwin in September, so lots of driving on the Hwy, but also did quite a bit of off roading in the Flinders ranges, and Nitmiluk National Park.

Cant fault them, great grip in the wet (tarmac) and the car performed beautifully off road in all types of conditions- mud, rivers, unsealed roads etc. No real road noise, and after 5000ks no obvious wear.

I would recommend these if your keen on taking your FL2 off road.

    Cheers

Excellent post, looking for a/t tyres for my FR2. Great previous experience with Toyo.

    Grabber atr

I've had my grabbers on about a full year, I've driven over 20,000 k's and they still don't seem very warn, they're great tyres!

The General Grabber TRs that were original fitting on our Defender (not the same tyre) have done 100,000 kilometres. They still have tread, but I'm going to replace them simply because of age, not wear.

We've had 18" General Grabber GT's on our FL2 for 6 months now and love them. Not really and off road tyre but the Freelander doesn't see the dirt very often, and when it does it's only a dirt road so the road orientated tyre work best for us.

Have you noticed a change in any particular performance area? In the wet or off road?
