    Hey I've got one!! A 2011 Freelander 2

Finally, after over 4 weeks my Freelander 2 TD4 has arrived from Perth. Bought sight unseen. It does seem to me to have a loud transmission whine in 3rd to 4th gear. The rear diff has been re built. So what the noise is? yada yada. My daughter is over the moon to have a car of her own, I am over the moon because she will no longer borrow my Disco2a. A win win.
The next step for me is to buy the OBDI cable and license from BBS. Hunter and Cuthill in Geelong will service the vehicle, until I get a shoulder repair.
My daughter claims that she will be the soccer mom to end all soccer moms as that was her argument against getting a Tiguan or similar. I'm happy that it is another Land Rover. We did want a Manual Discovery Sport, but that is a pain bringing it over from the UK as a personal import. It is a nice 8 week or so drive from Le Harvre to Singapore.

Freelander 2 2011, manual, the daughter calls it Perri
Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

    Congrats !

I've wanted to get the missus an FL2 to replace the Mazda3 (easier to get in and out of) but unfortunately.

    1. The FL2 seems to be depreciating less than I need it to; and
2.She's so used to the fancy integrated stereo and GPS of the Mazda....
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

This one, a manual TD5 has a basic stereo manual HVAC no bluetooth for the phone and an after market Garmin sat nav.
It also has a loud rear diff whine which is odd as we have been given receipts for a rear diff rebuild.
The joys of buying a car at a distance.
My daughter loves it but. And if the diff needs rebuilding so be it.
BTW my daughter did about 6 hours in a manual Mazda 3 with an instructor to remove the bad habits she learned from me in the D2a. We dream of a manual Discovery Sport. Just drive it over from the UK!!
