    Intermittent problem

    Please, guys, I need help.
I bought my Freelander 2 2011 TD4 (240k KM) one month ago. It was running well but now when accelerating from a standstill, you can literally flatten the pedal to the floor and after 3-4 seconds the engine responds, but not at all like normal. The turbo never seems to spin up, all the way up to 4500RPM. If I then leave the car off for an hour or so, it usually restarts without the acceleration problem. I went to my local mechanic, he couldn't find any issues. No fault codes or lights, it is also an intermittent problem.
I wanna travel in one week but I don't like the idea of leaving like this, I am fearful it may lead to a bigger worse problem.
    Anyone can help me?

    Yes it is quiet

When was it serviced? What does the air filter look like?
If it improves on restart, then not split turbo hose.
    Any lights on dash?
Maybe try a Land Rover independent mechanic.

Freelander 2 2011, manual, the daughter calls it Perri
Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.
