    Front Bumper help

    Hi all,

Recently managed to get into a 3 car collision being the last car Long story short, was a very sudden brake from the 1st car due do a car being stopped on the side of the road without hazards, 2nd car hit the 1st and I also couldn't stop in time (whilst trying to get on the curb)

Seems like it's just made a wee bit of a hole in the front bumper and am wondering how much a front bumper replacement generally costs before deciding if I want to claim it from my insurance.

Any ideas where I could get this fixed or replaced in Perth, WA?

It's not a hard job to change a front bumper so you could check the wrecking yards and see what they have. I would imagine the wreckers would want around $500 for a bumper.

But check your headlights haven't been damaged. I hit a kangaroo that caused a lot of damage behind the bumper, both headlight mounts and clips where broken, the ducting, A/C condenser was bent and the radiator as well. It ended up a 6 grand repair.

Do you not have to use your insurance to anyway fix the car you bumped into?

(Also practice hitting the brake peddle hard and fast to engage the brake assist function. It really makes a difference on your braking distance).
