It's not a hard job to change a front bumper so you could check the wrecking yards and see what they have. I would imagine the wreckers would want around $500 for a bumper.
But check your headlights haven't been damaged. I hit a kangaroo that caused a lot of damage behind the bumper, both headlight mounts and clips where broken, the ducting, A/C condenser was bent and the radiator as well. It ended up a 6 grand repair.
Do you not have to use your insurance to anyway fix the car you bumped into?
(Also practice hitting the brake peddle hard and fast to engage the brake assist function. It really makes a difference on your braking distance).
