    Freelander 1 For free!

Please come and remove this eyesore! I just want it gone. If it can't be taken away by someone on the site that needs it for parts, then it goes to the scrap guys for $150. I'd rather it went to someone on this site, but either way it needs to be gone.
    Freelander 1
    Manual
    Maroon colour
Was driving before window left down and then it just wouldn't start.
Panels in fair condition, looks good when washed.

I know the engines in these are crap , hence you cant give them away, but FL1 would be a great basis for an Electric Conversion , a few have been done . I was actually looking for one to do my conversion on but went with my Series3 instead.

The petrol engine was not the best but the diesels were a better option and reliable

The 1.6 petrol engines were known for overheating / head gasket failures (on a Land Rover engine - who'd have guessed that?). The V6 was good, but thirsty, the Rover diesel was a brilliant little engine, and the Bavarian Money Waster diesel was almost as good. Pity I got rid of our old one, or I'd be tempted. They're a lovely car to drive.
