    Hi Presto,

It is a copy of the Australian one here - ENGINE WATCHDOG TM2 CAR OVERHEATING SENSOR GAUGE ALARM - eBay 4x4 Accessories, Exterior, Car, Truck Parts, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 22-Oct-10 18:01:19 AEDST)

I actually know the guy who makes the one here in Brisbane and have a couple of his on my cars. Personally I would prefer to support the small Australian business , and I know his products and service are good.

Maybe we should switch the group buy to the local fella?

If he can do a simmilar deal I don't see why not?

I went for the other guy because it was cheaper to start with and I got discount, plus personally I will probably get two so I was looking at potentially $238 instead of $300.

I'm happy to buy Australia if I can but $60 is still $60
If you know this guy do you want to contact him and ask what he could do?

TimJ the one that knows him - can you get in touch with him and ask if he's up for a AULRO group buy?

Ok, have just talked to him and yes he will do a deal for us. How many are we looking at? Price could be as low as $100 each.

There definitely seems to be some confusion here. There has been a post for some time in the Verandah section that appears to be a modified version of the one I can get but I have no idea if it is an authorised mod and now he appears to be selling his own version. There is also now a post in the Technical section from Hangover about the US versions.

From the talks I have had with my mate in the past there should be no need to monitor coolant level as the temp goes up very quickly in the absence of coolant and if the alarm is set at the right level it reacts quickly enough for you to shut down before damage occurs. A normal temp guage will not react as it relies on the coolant to measure the temp.

So what do people want to do? I don't want to waste my time or my mates if there are other solutions that people have already decided on.
