No Phil, Pop didn't make it this year. That was Bill Campbell, an MJCQ member from up Bribie way. One of Uncle Ho's neighbours.

Yup! sure was,in his little Radar Loading No 1 Landrover, one of several Military vehicles and trailers he owns, mainly WW11 but he also has an F1 Inter,my 2a GS didn't make it this year.
Was great weather and a good showing though fairly sure numbers of vehicles and swapmeet participants was down from previous years?
ooh, triple post!
are you trying to get post numbers up?
Hmmm AULRO had a fit. :wasntme:
The MJCQ held a "wheels and tracks" day recently in August out Woodford way where the tracked vehicles all had a chance to play on private property. The cost of transport of the armoured stuff and the damage to arena surfaces are the major drawbacks.
You would probably enjoy their "swim in" at Bundy next year. They have armour, and floating armour as well present at that do, plus you get a first hand chance at experiencing all different types of gear.
Next year will feature a "Jeep railway". That should be up your alley!
As for the Canungra weekend:-Did you know that there were a group of re-enactors present at Canungra who were not allowed to "re-enact" because it was deemed by the local authorities that the sound of pyrotechnics would "disturb the peacefulness and serenity" of the valley. (The fact that there is an Army Camp over the hill didn't seem to enter these petty bureaucrat's little minds!!!)
