rear fog light comes on when caravan is connected

    Hi

I've just had my D3 wired for electric brakes and have taken my van for a test drive. Have a standard round to flat adaptor. Noticed that the left hand indicator on the van was flickering and also that the assist on the dashboard wouldn't flash although the indicator did flash when used, opened it up and found a LED bulb which I replaced - flickering now okay and assist works fine. Replaced the brake globes, which were also LED globes just to be safe. Noticed that the rear fog lights come on when the caravan is connected - although they are not switched on at the dash. Have not been able to figure this one out - any thoughts?

    Thans guys

    Kevin

Check your wiring... the plugs are slightly different to conventional.

Note the D4 plugs are rotated 90 degree to the image.

If all other lights are working correctly you have a problem with pin 2. There is a fuse box in the LH rear corner which has all connections for the trailer plugs, so that's a starting place.
