I see it but I dont believe it. The old disco wont have to work as hard now Harry. Great stuff.
Justin
 Working hard.... That's natural for Harry's D1

That bloody Disco of Harrys is bomb-proof, like the Aquarangie wasBend it, break it, straighten it and it just keep on going the bloody thing.
I miss the Aquarangie, 4 RRC's later I still haven't filled the void but I'm working on it
Trav
think we need to permanently designate harry in as TEC to keep him under control from now on

Who needs a heater in QLD. The Aquarangie never had a functioning heater, didn't stop it (was re-routed when I bought it but never botherd to repair it). The air con worked a treat though which is more of a concern esp. if you're like me who suffers from heat stroke easily
Now I an getting sad talking about the Aquarangie, need to change the bloody subjectOh yes, like the tyres Harry and it looks the part

Good stuff...looking forward to seeing it in the morning...we can compare new sliders, tyres.,lifts etc,
Regards

ok, firstly,
thank you or the nice comments.
now the tyres are lt285/75 x 16 maxxis bighorns,
car is on a two inch spring lift and we are still to see if the 'guard work is adequate.
sliders are a copy of justins, thanks justin, with some differences, home grown with gary's help [well he did them, i just made mine look nice!, thanks gary]
and trav, the last set were from josh and were a test to see what fits under a d1.
apart from them being a bit old the size was perfect for a d1, but when i got new tyres they were a bit wider and stuffed all my plans.
however i now have 9 inches under the front diff and ten under the rear.
so that is pretty good for a d1.
[shut up phillipe!, 35's don't count]
Good size, did you use your std Disco rims? Nothing wrong with that, I ran the Silverstones on them on ol' bluey (now named BOB by it's new owner) although it was a 10 point turn to get arond some tight tracks as the turning circle was ****ed
I had a 40mm body lift and @35mm spring lift on that Rangie, rubbed on full compression but on 99% of trails it was fine.
