    Elanda Point, Lake Cootharaba

A quiet members trip but not so quiet in the camp. Ended up with 10 tents of kids running a mock so Saturday afternoon was a bit of a loss as was 5am on Sunday morning. That aside not a bad park but the no fire and dog thing would deter me in the future. Had a great day Saturday driving around some fantastic countryside and a few markets. Water was warm and only a few feet deep so safe enough for the kiddies. Also seen a strange Series 1 on the side of the road. A wee project 90 to boot. Garry

Nice work Garry. Was really hoping to come along with Alaska but that other campground would only allow dogs in a caravan or motorhome. No tents or camper trailers

Get up to Harrys Hut for a look?

    Elanda Point Weekend

We arrived about 130 pm Friday to a almost deserted camping ground Wee 90 saved us a sheltered spot under the trees and out of the wind During the rest of the afternoon we were invaded by a heap of family's with kids I mean screaming KIDS Nevertheless they sealted down come bed time
had a shower of rain that night
on Saturday morning we headed to the Pomona markets for a look then had bit of a excursion to Eumundi and ended up at the markets found some timber outdoor furniture that we have been looking for (ordered it today) got back to camp about 430 with quite a thirst as did Gary sorted that out straight away The park in our area was quite full by this stage one single woman and her 2 kids pitching there tent right beside our toeball
The toilets and showers were quiet good would be suitable for a club function
We left about 315 and got home 630 due to traffic jam from the strawberry farm to bribe turn of
Thanks Gary and Charene for going would have been a bit lonely
