Border Ranges & Lyons Road 28-4-2018
Thanks to everyone that attended todays Border Ranges Trip. It was a nice little group. We met at Beaudesert at a sensible hour before heading off towards the Lyons Road and into the Border Ranges. Access from Murwillumbah is still closed from previous storm damage. Lyons Road has a voluntary donation tin at the NSW end to assist with road maintenance and the Border Ranges is self service $8 for the day permit. We had a bit of rain but that just limited the dust and made the roads a little slippery but nothing really bad. Alex led the trip as he had been there in January. I went TEC. The northern circuit road around the border ranges is a one way with the main road through being 2 way. We went as far as Harry thought he could go and make it back to Beaudesert for fuel. We stopped at the lookout (can't remember its name) for lunch, before returning pretty much via the same route. I headed off to Moogerah Dam for dinner and sunset overlooking the dam.
I have no idea why the photos are on the side.
