Levuka September 19-20th

Thanks to Pete & Sam for organizing the trip.

Mud is my least favorite type of 4 Wheeling. Tends to be too easy or just plain dangerous.
Still had a lots of fun. :D

Our family had a great time. Excellent Camping spot. The old wood fire hot water showers and toilets, were tops.

The Campfire entertainment had me in stitches at times, thanks to Pete, Stevo, & Grimace. (Lover of the Cock. ) :p

The most entertaining driving moment goes to whoever it was in the Rodeo or whatever it was valve bouncing, tyre smoking his way up Oakey Creek Waterfall.....10 points for tenacity.

Most disappointing moment goes to being beaten by a D1.
My excuse (Mud doesn't count)...:wasntme:

Got permission from the Park owner to use the Chainsaw. Kicking Myself for not asking him sooner.

no, i don't have a front locker.
still a bit embarrassed by busman going up that bit so easily.
the fear factor of nearly rolling is a strong deterrant for me getting on side angles, so i still try to drive most things straight up - and it doesn't work. most times.

wern't all those old rangies v8's?
justin's is a ?
power windows and mirrors from a disco?
diffs and axles from md?
seems most rangies are modified with disco gear, or in one case, a thumping big diesel as well.
no, i am not getting into this debate. my disco is all disco but for diff lock and two axles, springs and two shocks, [thanks justin] maybe that is the problem with it?

which is better?

in stock form they are the same [when new - if you bought a poverty pack rr - the disco is a poverty pack rr with more engine options for the financially challenged, and those that bought the v8 option lost more in the resale value, so that is why there are so many v8's on the tracks.]

Dear Justin and Harry, good morning,

Range Rover Classic versus Discovery 1 is the arguement that I am seeing, correct me if I'm wrong.

Newer models after that it's less and less about quality... look at today's new Range Rover's and Discovery, very difficult to spot quality difference!

Yes the Discovery 1 was released as a budget Range Rover Classic, and having compared both when wrecked for parts in my opinion the Discovery 1 is cheaper in price and some parts are cheaper in build as well.

Thankfully THE 109 and LR are custom built, non factory spec. Land Rover's that were designed and constructed for a purpose, so I am happy I do not fit into your arguement.

In conclusion, RRC > Disco1 (both stock), ha ha ha I've had my laugh.
