Werner Toyota is a write off. Out of 250 odd cars, 180 have hail damage. Their new showroom has been damaged as well. Reported claim of $8 million but will be higher.

I find the photo of the Commodore with the broken rear window interesting- it is not shattered and you can see where the hail has gone straight through the glass - how fast would they be going to do that.
I happened to be in Kew around 2:30pm on Saturday and copped a bit of hail and a down pour, then got to Greensborough where it was sunny until 3:30pm, when it started to rain. Decided to head home along the hume and at Wallan it started to hail, was driving about 70Km/hr, about 15 - 20 min later blue sky again, until Murchision where I again encountered hail. I pulled off to the side of the road where it was safe, as I could not see the road infront of me.
Shepparton copped it bad, trees down all over the place. Where I live just rain, did not know such a storm happened so close until I heard it on the news that night.
Well, my damage bill is in....$8000 :(
Part replace, part Paintless Dent Removal, new screen & scuttle plate. Interesting to note that the new bonnet is $1500. Thats just for the part, no paint, no decals  Surprising to note the windscreen is $185...cheap :D
As I said before...this is going to get messy. Running on payout figuire, 60 - 75% of that equals very close to write off territory.
The two governing factors are that the vehicle is in excellent condition for its age and a Td5.
There you go....another reason to have a Td5 :p
