So when are you taking it off road? we want to see some pics of it covered in mud![]()
Distinguished Colleagues,
The Defy is in at the dealers this week (don't ask - Pumas rock) - and they kindly loaned me a car for the week - but do you think it's fair that I should have to put up with this old jalopy?
I mean - where is the transfer lever????
What - no oil leaks?
Does look nice in our driveway though - gotta go - gotta, urm, get some milk - in Toowoomba....

In our 15months of Defender ownership we have had a Volvo C30, variety of Freelanders, couple of Disco 3s and a Mitibushi something or other. With the exception of the Mitsi my wife has preferred all the others over my beloved SVX.
She's never happy returning the luxury to pick up my 'truck'. Must admit I have also enjoyed the other vehicles, but they just dont leave you with that feeling you have when you are in your Defender.
Keley
Is that the Ford Mondeo version?
The power steering reservoir is a copy of the one in my 1994 Defe

That would just be so hard to give back.
They must like you. I got a Volvo C30 last time. The diesel sounded like a box of rocks.
Yep - originally designed when Ford owned Jag back in 2000 - 01. The earlier ones where a doppleganger for the AU Falcon, particuarly in the rear-end and rear of the turret treatment as they had been both designed in the Ford "edge design" of the time. Also the similarities in the interior can also be seen with the rounded look of the AU and the Jag.
The X-Type is in its last year of production.
