:lol2:
well jokes aside, i think Dobo should have a go at it. i meen there publication is a bit boring at best, the information is light and for all we know Dobo in print could take on clarkson.
as another idea why doint you swap articals with another country, the first one that comes to mind was a russian comparison between a 90 and dwagon starting off in the city and into the forrest at a nice -25 deg and eneded up stoping in 1.5 meters of snow when the Dwagon started to over heat.
Top comments all, you've really brightened up my Monday morning.:D
The salary will depend on the experience that the person can bring to the table, but don't expect to become a millionaire. Roothy's cold ones do tend to eat up most of the profits, but then he does deserve it for all the hard work he puts in - seriously, at Tuff Trucks he was a machine standing in 35 degree heat all day signing autographs, with only a couple of short breaks that were constantly interrupted.
Regarding the deadline thing, yes it is there, but when you're writing about stuff that you eat, drink, sleep then there really isn't a problem.
I have to be honest and say that after six months I have the best job I've ever had. I've earned twice as much doing other things, but with 10 times the aggravation, so it more than balances out. As the new vehicle tester I do have the best job in the mag and you'll only steal it off me over my dead body. The only downside is that I'm forced to get behind the wheel of non Land Rover products - I can hear a small violin playing somewhere!
If anyone is interested then get your application in asap! If nothing else it gets you one step closer to stepping over my dead body!
Does it have to be a Sydney based person? What with all the technology now could the person not live away from where you people are based?
Just thinking out loud.
Chris
It's a good thought Chris and we do take freelance work from all over Australia. If anyone reckons that they can cut it they should send in a sample piece of work/images to 4wd@4wdaction.com.au for the Editors to review.
Unfortunately these particular roles are office based.
