I wish....only had it for 2 weeks.....high tide coming in and it was adorned with " this that and whatever award" type stickers. Heard one bloke comment " These are really good........................if you know how to drive them".....bastard . That week went and joined the GCLRO and got a recovery kit. First and last time that ever happened, the ute in the pic couldn't snatch me...a Jeep did till I got bogged again....till a nice man in a Cruiser showed me how to let down tyres....switch of DSC.....put in Low and taaa daaaa...she pulled herself out of the bog. You may tell that I miss that black beauty

Is this possible and would it help? Is there enough room in the wheel arches.?

It does seem to me to be pretty restrictive to only be able to have 19 inch rims and not have the option of going smaller. but there must be a way around the problem

    Hi Guys,

Do they make those internal bead lockie thingys (Staun) for 18 or 19 inch rims?

Would they help with the "rolling" off the rim issue when aired down?

And then you ended up losing it to water anyway! Frozen balls of it!

I wouldn't have worried too much. The D2/P38 LandRover rims are really good at retaining beads because they have a big lip behind them. I'd assume they have continued this on with their later rims also. I've run for a week around Fraser Island at 10.5psi, Stockton at the same etc and not lost a bead. Just beware in mud and ruts!!!

I think one needs to also take into account legal and non legal. Can get some big rubber on 18's, ie an MTZ

I don't think any of those will fit without at least rubbing.

Here is a picture showing what happens to the sidewall of a P-rated 19" tyre at 25 psi on the rear of an empty D4 in a little rut. I cringe at the thought of doing this with a loaded vehicle where there are sharp rocks.

The biggest you can fit without mods is a 32.5 inch tyre and none of those tyres appear to fit the bill.

If I wanted to mod my car to fit bigger tyres I would of kept my D1 with 35's.
