Well, it’s not as good as Band of Brothers, BUT, it is a different theatre of war and they did try, successfully, to put you right in the middle of the type hand to hand combat that the Pacific was about.
I do hope it will improve.
BTW, did anyone catch Kokoda on the ABC the other night.
Absolutely brilliant and while a different type of story telling, it was great.
It was equal to or even better than Band of Brothers.
It’s available for downloading from the ABC for the next week and a bit.
Well worth the watch and there’s some great colour footage of Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne of the time period.

Yes, that was very well done, it's hard to tell the full story in 2 hours, but I reckon its a 9 out of 10, I love to hear the diggers re- live the event. Interesting to hear Jap survivors of the 144th - I thought they were wiped out to a man- except those that were too sick to move & were captured.
I really enjoyed it so far.:)
Yes DJ, enjoyed Kokoda too.
im a bit mixed about kokoda i didnt reely enjoy it that much because it was a very slow movie but at the same time it was reely good at showing us the harshness that some of those guys went through
oh sorry about that just assumed.so the 2 part series is worth a gander then
Yes mate, it’s a doco but really well done and some great film footage of the time.
Well worth the download from the ABC web site.
