Where would be the best place to find a used Discovery 3 for sale?

If I was in the market for a used D3, say one that had already got the ARB bumper on it, perhaps a long range tank and Kaymar carrier etc, in other words, not something Id find on a Land Rover forecourt - Where should I look?

    Any particular websites?

    Thanks
    Jon

I think the most prominent one is Used Cars - New Cars - Search New & Used Cars For Sale - carsales.com.au, its where I sold my D3

There is one on ebay right now!

Land Rover Discovery 3 2005 HSE Full Pack - eBay, Passenger Vehicles, Cars, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 10-May-10 20:20:23 AEST)

    05 TDV6 HSE Disco 3
twin batteries, ARB compressor, Kaymar rear bar, long range tank, LR roof rack, winch, bash plated underneath, front and rear parking sensors, voice operated Sat Nav.... you get the idea.

If I hadn't bought mine 4 weeks earlier I would of been having a real good look at it. I used carsales to find mine.

The other place I would look is the paticular LR ownes club webpages such as LROCV.com.au for vic

Isn't that a little expensive for the kms? How long are the turbos lasting on these?
    Cheers

No they have an upper and lower tailgate design like the classic RR. It's a bit of a pain when you fit a wheel carrier cause everytime you want to open the back you also have to open the wheel carrier.

It is better in other ways though - you have a seat to sit on and eat your lunch, a roof over your hear when it rains and less chance of 'stuff' falling out onto the road when you open the back door.

An 05 HSE with similiar factoy options and 70 - 100,000 kms will set you back closer to 60K. The car with 150,000 I think would sell for about 40K.

.... but then if you add up the aftermarket gear, that would cost you oh I dont know an easy 14 or 15K to buy new. The gear is now second hand. The car has presumably been used because of the gear on it. Work out what you would be willing to pay from there?

Haven't heard of any turbo issues
