I can see it all happening now..... I'll be thinking, "I'll wait till they become a bit more common and the price drops to a reasonable level", whilst walking through the doors of the local electronics store.....

    thats funny...

I wonder do people have strokes watching 3D at the cinema?

perhaps that's why I randomly see people tripping over. only kidding.

    I would still get one

I don't see how watching a movie at home in 3D would be much different to watching a movie at the cinema.

you can still watch normal 2D tv on these tv's I certainly wouldn't watch in 3D all the time I think it would get annoying...

You have convinced me though twitchy perhaps I wont wait until the cost drops I will just wait to see how many people down the stairs first

Working in the multi-media industry, we get alot of info on products and 3d tv is now hitting markets world wide, both the BBC and Sky sports have been trialing 3d technology for the past 2 years, and now 3d live football, is offered in a number of UK, pubs, with the roll out on the tv some times this year. Sony also have a single lens 3d camera on trial, instead of the current twin lens.

I dont no what distance you were viewing the said 3d picture, but the specs say, what ever the screen size is then thats the max distance you can be away from the screen, so a set up in a living you in the real world, may not be too good. And every ones going to need a set of glasses at $200 each.

Phillips are developing 3d without glasses, so its early days yet, and i suppose just like iphone v1 and ipad v1, the second gen ones will be alot better....

Hehehe! Yeah my housemate was nagging me senseless for 3 weeks to buy a 3D TV, and he was kinda peeved when I handed him the receipt to pick up a 46" Samsung LCD TV while I was on the way to the airport.

Sod paying such over twice the price-premium for anything like that, with no real media support (or even cost worthy for the next 5yrs), especially as it's something only to be used in sporadic bursts, and is ultimately the xbox-screen for my bedroom. If my housemate wants to experience the joys of 3D then he can bloody well buy it for the lounge himself...hehehe!

Damn, and to think my laptop has a bigger screen than the TV here and the TV isn't even flat screen, and there's already 3D!
