OMG!! I want one 3D TV

Today me and Ian went out shopping for groceries and we popped into the good guys wondering whether they have a 3D tv in yet to look at

    and they did

It was a samsung 55" LED tv with 3D technology.

we had a look but was more curious then anything of the new tech, or to see whether it was just a loud of media hype and BS.

Well on went the glasses which might I add are not the polarising type you get in the cinema but battery driven mini lcd screens (or so we were told)

he but on a 3D bluray and WOW!!!!

I kid you not the 3D was awesome....

it was much better than any of the 3D I have seen at the cinema no Joke.
If I had $4,700 in my pocket I would have bought it right there and then...

I just can't even imagine what gaming on one would be like, if its anything like we saw it will be out of this world.

I will be getting one but once the cost drops a bit..just wanted to share my outer body experience with you.

seriously though I was a sceptic but you truly have to see it to believe how bloody good it is

Latest PS3 firmware update, rolled out last week and enabled 3D support for gaming and Blu-Ray.

Just need the TV now. Won't be happening here for a long while, methinks.

By the time digital tv is produced and broadcast in 3D and 3D bluerays are the norm, they will be affordable. I think it will be a fair while off.

I have a hard enough time finding a decent range of normal blu rays at my local video store at the moment.

yes I believe only PS3 will support but xbox would have to come along for the ride otherwise they will be left behind in the gaming market for sure...

I appreciate that not everyone will get a 3D tv but still would be hot on the list of a lot of gamers I reckon

Apparently the conversion results in a loss in definition, so something that is normally 2D 1080, would now be 3D 720............. maybe using split screen? Not too sure .
