I'm getting that annoying 'Server Plugin Update' message again. Have they updated the plugin again?

Honestly, I have found it crashes a lot but more recent updates have made it more reliable.
The benefit for me is that it's faster than safari on the iPhone or iPod touch, especially when reading lots of threads. And the way it presents new posts to you is neat.
Yep much more user friendly than using safari Dullbird. Just no good for smilies :)
Try the trial first and go from there.
