Thanks to all for your feedback on my driving light problems. Lightforce kindly sent me a new set of globes free, much appreciated, eventually I tried a globe directly to the battery and it didn't blow and checked it with the car running all ok. Next I made sure both left and right globe pins in the lights were the same polarity (not that it should matter as the lights aren't grounded or polarity sensitive), installed both new globes, all good, then started the car up and still all good.

So not sure what was the solution, as the polarity shouldn't be a cause, only other thing could be the Philips globes may have been duds, but 4 in a row? So far I can see the light, but as for anyone having an answer to the globes blowing, nothing has been found.

Thanks to all for your input and thanks to Lightforce also for input and a set of replacement globes.

Now the main point, yes they work well, much better than the IPF 900's I had previously.
